Festive opening of Illescas & first sustainability event

On 12 June, Action celebrated the opening of our first distribution centre in Spain, located in Illescas. Together with colleagues, the mayor of Illescas, and the partners involved, we officially marked the start of operations.

This is Action’s first distribution centre with the highest BREEAM building sustainability certification ‘outstanding’, making it the standard for all future distribution centres. In recognition of this achievement, we invited media to learn how Action makes progress with the Action Sustainability Programme (ASP).

It was a great opportunity to show how sustainability and discount retail can go hand in hand – and how, thanks to our scale, we can truly make a difference.
