From invention to the Action stores: a smart painting solution for everyday use
Today Action launches its new product the ‘Brush Saver’ in all Action stores. The Brush Saver is a smart brush vacuum that keeps paint brushes in optimal condition and prevents them from drying out, making it possible to reuse again and again. This award winning invention has become the newest product on the shelves in The Netherlands from today. Action developed the product and made it ready to produce on a large scale.
“The product development of an invention is special,” says Jasper Schilder (Head of Purchasing at Action). “Creating a completely new and airtight product that is also safe and user-friendly was not easy and required many rounds of testing. This makes us even prouder that the invention is now available to everyone and ready for use by home and professional painters.”
Prolonged product lifespan
The Brush Saver preserves and maintains paint brushes in optimal condition after use, solving a common problem. Instead of quickly drying out after a single use, the Brush Saver helps you save your brush. It extends the lifespan of the brush, making it possible to reuse again and again. Action wants to excite its customers for products like these at an affordable price. Action’s new Brush Saver will be sold for €7.95 including two paint brushes.
Based on an invention
Dutch electrician and handyman Wim van Vliet first came up with the invention. His paint brushes became unusable so quickly, that he went looking for solutions. He tried all sorts of things: he put the brush in a bag, in a jar, in the refrigerator, in the freezer. Finally he found the solution in chemistry: a layer of water in an airtight jar. Water evaporates in a vacuum. The fog that it creates, keeps the used brush bristles soft. His invention then became first in a Dutch SBS-6 television show ‘What an Invention!’.
