Action, the non-food discounter, is opening its first store in Romania today in the city of Pitesti. Romania is the fourteenth country in which Action operates.

Novara, 12 February, 2026 - Action, the non-food discounter, opens its first permanent distribution center (DC) in Italy today, located in Novara, in Piemonte. With this 17th distribution center in Europe, Action continues to invest in the development of its supply chain in Italy. Since opening its first stores in Italy on 22 April 2021, in Vanzaghello and Turin, Action has 213 stores in Italy today, while employing almost 5000 people.

Zwaagdijk-Oost (the Netherlands), 29 January 2026 – Action, the non-food discounter, closed 2025 with net sales of €16.0 billion, up 16.1% compared to 2024. Like-for-like-sales growth was 4.9%. Sales growth was driven by a continued increase in the number of customers, with an average of 21.6 million customers shopping at Action each week in 2025, up from 18.7 million in 2024.

Paris, 13 December 2025 - Action, the non-food discounter, today opens its 900th store in France, in Carpiquet (Normandie). The company opened its first store in the country in 2012, in Courrières (Hauts-de-France).  

Prague, 3 December 2025 - Action, the non-food discounter, opens its 100th store in the Czech Republic in Neratovice, less than five years after its first store opening, in Hradec Králové in 2020.

Madrid, 20 November 2025 - Action, the non-food discounter, opens its 100th store in Spain in Málaga, less than four years after its first store opening, in Girona in February 2022.

Zwaagdijk-Oost (the Netherlands), 13 November 2025 – Action, the non-food discounter, continued to deliver growth across Europe in the third quarter of 2025, despite softening consumer sentiment in Europe.

Action, the non-food discounter, saw its net sales grow to €7.3 billion in the first six months of 2025, up 17.9% from 2024. Like-for-like sales growth was 6.8%.
