Action opens first store in Romania in Pitesti
Bucharest, 24 September 2025 – Action, the non-food discounter, is opening its first store in Romania today in the city of Pitesti. Romania is the fourteenth country in which Action operates.
From today, residents of Pitesti and other visitors can enjoy the Action Formula: 6,000 good-quality and increasingly sustainable products in 14 categories (ranging from Laundry & Cleaning and Personal Care to Toys & Entertainment, Do-It-Yourself or Garden & Outdoor) at the lowest price. Action introduces 150 new products every week, ensuring a relevant assortment. The price of 1,500 Action products is less than 5 Lei.

All Action’s private and white label products use 100% certified sustainably sourced cotton, timber and cocoa. The palm oil in Action’s own food & drink products and candles is 100% certified sustainable. Action has set science-based near-term targets for greenhouse gas reduction that are approved by the Science Based Targets initiative. Action stores are heated without gas and all stores, offices and distribution centres use 100% LED lighting.
The new Action store in Pitesti is spacious and easily accessible, measuring over 840 square meters. The store is located at Supernova Shopping Center in Pitesti and is open Monday to Sunday from 09:00 to 21:00. The store is managed by a team of 18 colleagues.
To celebrate the first Action store in Romania, customers visiting the store in Pitesti have the chance to win a prize by spinning a wheel of fortune on the opening day.
